Canada’s AI-native trade platform featured in high-level roundtable advancing ASEAN digital infrastructure collaboration.
On June 4, 2025, the TransPacific Trade Nexus (TPTN) was featured during a high-level roundtable hosted by the Philippines Embassy in Ottawa. The event brought together Canadian and ASEAN stakeholders focused on advancing bilateral and regional trade cooperation, with a particular emphasis on digital innovation, export resilience, and infrastructure readiness.
TPTN was introduced as an AI-native digital platform built to address longstanding trade frictions—helping Canadian SMEs access ASEAN markets by automating compliance, enabling multilingual engagement, and reducing complexity in cross-border trade operations.
Supporting Canada–ASEAN Economic Integration
This engagement is part of TPTN’s broader effort to align with Canada’s Indo-Pacific Strategy and strengthen interoperability with ASEAN’s evolving digital trade frameworks. The discussion underscored the need for scalable, secure, and inclusive trade infrastructure that empowers small and medium-sized enterprises to fully participate in international commerce.
In addition to the Philippines delegation, the roundtable included participation from Canadian legislators, diplomatic envoys, and economic attachés. TPTN continues to build momentum across both federal and regional levels to ensure its platform reflects the strategic needs of Canadian exporters and their ASEAN counterparts.
TPTN and Thailand–Canada Relations
On the margins of recent Canada–ASEAN engagements, TPTN also met with key representatives from the Kingdom of Thailand. The conversation explored potential future alignment with Thailand’s innovation agenda and Indo-Pacific economic integration goals. This complements TPTN’s broader ASEAN strategy, which emphasizes country-specific adaptation layered on a universal infrastructure backbone.
