Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia, Manitoba, and Alberta affirm support for Canada’s AI-native trade infrastructure
TransPacific Trade Nexus (TPTN) is proud to announce that four Canadian provinces — Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia, Manitoba, and Alberta — have each submitted formal letters of support for our initiative. These endorsements reflect strong, pan-Canadian momentum behind TPTN’s mission to modernize trade infrastructure, empower small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and support Canada’s Indo-Pacific Strategy.
Provincial Support Overview
Saskatchewan (Letter received February 6, 2025): The Government of Saskatchewan reaffirmed its commitment to breaking down trade barriers and emphasized the province’s global footprint and success in sustainable exports.
Nova Scotia (Letter received February 18, 2025): The Minister of Growth and Development directed Invest Nova Scotia to engage directly with TPTN, citing goals to expand interprovincial trade, diversify markets, and eliminate bottlenecks.
Manitoba (Letter received February 24, 2025): Manitoba’s Deputy Minister highlighted the province’s strengths in agriculture, manufacturing, and logistics, and welcomed TPTN’s AI-powered platform to help local businesses scale globally.
Alberta (Letter received May 26, 2025): Alberta’s Deputy Minister of Jobs, Economy, Trade and Immigration confirmed the province’s priority on export diversification and encouraged continued collaboration as TPTN progresses.
Key Takeaways and Next Steps
These letters signal clear, multi-provincial support for TPTN’s role in streamlining compliance, digitizing export workflows, and unlocking new markets for Canadian SMEs.
Province-specific insights will directly shape our prototype development, which launches later this year. Select SMEs from each province will participate in a Q4 2025 pilot, testing electronic documentation workflows, AI-driven compliance tools, and embedded trade finance modules.
By incorporating feedback from Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia, Manitoba, and Alberta, TPTN will deliver a user-centric platform that supports regional growth while advancing Canada’s global trade ambitions.
